why i dislike kingston right now.
argh. there are no other words to express. kingston right now is so frustrating.
situation: make copies for navs tonight. we need approximately 50 copies double sided.
planned action: go to the staples 24 hour copy centre. double checked times on the internet - it says "copy centre, open 24 hours". fine, so i'm set. right?
how it goes down: i walk all the way downtown to staples. it looks dark. this isn't good. i walk to the back to the copy centre and see a girl coming towards me. 'we're closed' she says. 'what? the 24 hour copy service?' 'yes' she says. 'it's only 24 hours monday to friday'. 'WHAT?!" how come it fails to say that on their website?
okay, so this was already my last hope. and it turns out it was no hope at all. kingston closes all business at like 3pm which makes me frustrated. okay, so maybe not 3pm, but pretty early. what the heck is up with that?! this is a town heavily populated with students who rely on services to make it through the year. heck, just to make it through the day.
i went to shoppers on bagot and princess. they have a copier right? oh wait - it's broken. i walk out of the store, doom on the horizon - we are going to have nothing for navs tonight. shoot. what am i to do? i go to the other shoppers on princess and division. they have a copier. but copies are 20 cents each. we need 50 copies. double sided. i gave up.
i came home and called dan with the problem. luckily for us he just bought a new ink cartridge - he's gonna print it all off on his computer. which sucks cuz he will have no ink at the end of the night.
argh.
